‘You Only You’ ~ Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Qs)


Welcome to Shah Mardan’s pure assembly, to his lovely assembly, to his grand assembly. Come along and listen. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, let us listen to Shah-i Mardan, so that those attending his assembly may be dressed in robes of honour. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, come and be welcome. In the assembly of Sultans, Shah-i Mardan says so many things. Thanks to Allah Almighty that He has granted to us to be among those who are Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. May our assembly be an assembly of ‘irfan/spiritual knowledge. O Lovers, O Beloved Friends, let us enter the assembly of spiritual knowledge. Nobody just walks into the assembly of the Sultan, there must be an invitation. Those invited will follow the invitation.

Come to us, O Shah-i Mardan. We want to follow your summons. Therefore, come along, O you beloved friends and lovers. Let us express the sign of the Sultan: Lā ilāha illa-llāh, Lā ilāha illa-llāh, Sayyiduna Muhammadun Rasūlullah, Habībullah, Safī-ullah/the Beloved, the Pure One of Allah Mā shā’ Allāh, thanks to Allah. Thanks be to our Lord Allah who has granted us this great honour. This honour is given to us from the honour of His Beloved. How glorious are those people who are able to take that honour! Look for such glory, try to be glorious. You will receive glory from attending the assembly of the Sultan, not from spending your time in stables. Come to us, O Shah-i Mardan. Your Lovers are in awe of you.

Let us say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Let us pronounce the seal of Him to whom all Glory belongs. Subhān Allāh. His seal. What is the sign that marks His Absolute Dominion? It is Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. O our Lord, honour us with that honour. It is Shah-i Mardan who distributes and gives this honour to us. You are looking for honour? Where are you going to find honour? Shah-i Mardan teaches it to you. Let us speak that honour: It is Bismillahi rRahmani r-Rahim. Honour comes to you from that. What do you want? He says. When you say Bismillahi r- Rahmani r-Rahim, what is it that you are requesting, My servant? What do you want? In the Presence of the Sultan it is shameful to ask for things of this world. The rubbish heap of this world, it is the greatest shame to be asking for it.

The poet Yunus sings: I have no need of anything but You. I wish not for this world, nor for the adornments of the world to come. You are all that I require, You alone. It is You that I desire, O my Lord. Your Countenance is so lovely, why do You cover it with a veil? Your Beauty is what we desire, but there is a veil covering it, he says. It is shrouded, hidden. If Shah-i Mardan were to speak of those topics, people listening would faint. A community has now arisen that does not know what is desirable. They do not know what they should ask for. O our Lord, since Your Face is so lovely, why do You cover it with a veil? Your Countenance is so lovely, O our Lord, why the veil? It is not lawful for everybody – the Sultan’s supremely beautiful Face. His Beautiful Countenance, His Beauty, the Beauty of Allah is not lawful for everyone. Allahu akbar.

O our Lord. What am I to do with this world? What is there in this world? This world is only dung, manure. What is there in this world? This world is a stable. You are asking for a stable. You have no mind, no good taste, no enjoyment, you are an altogether strange creature. You don’t know what it is you want. Come, O Shah-i Mardan. Let us ask for, let us say: Bismillahi rRahmani r-Rahim. Let us unburden ourselves and find relief. Let our face also acquire heavenly beauty, let us be radiant. Let us be filled with love. One does not fall in love with the earth, with the gardens and vineyards, no one falls in love with that. No one falls in love with the palace, but one falls fervently in love with the Sultan within the palace. Him he desires, not the palace. He desires the Sultan of the palace. People have become confused.

Come, O Shah-i Mardan. Let us be full of vigour. Let us be vigorous, strong. Let us be filled with love. Love for whom? Love for whom? It is this that Shah-i Mardan is speaking about. He brings love and longing to you. Ask for the Sultan. Ask to see the Divine Beauty of the Sultan’s Face. Do not look at His palace. This world: one does not fall in love with the mountains, or with the trees. You do not fall in love with what you eat or drink. You do not fall in love with your horse or your decorations. Love is for the Sultan. Let us fill our hearts with love for Him. O our Lord, You are Subhān/ possessing Absolute Glory. You are Sultan/possessing Absolute Sovereignty. Come, O Shah-i Mardan. This is what conveys human dignity to mankind. Enthusiastic love. Without love, without ardour, man is not worth a penny. Man falls in love with what is beautiful, he does not fall in love with ugliness. The Beauty of beauties, Allāhu Dhū l-Jalāl. He is the Possessor of the Oceans of Beauty. Allah. You fall in love with His Beauty.

Nobody falls in love with the food on the table. This ardent love is not for the food on the table but for the Owner of what is laid out on that table. Him you should love, not His table spread. Allahu akbar. We have strayed very far. Those who do not know what they want move about in this world like drunkards. They seek something in this world. What do you seek? Do you seek for destitute, downtrodden beasts in this world? There are many beasts. If you are looking for fourfooted animals, there are many. Nowadays man has become such a two-legged animal. He runs after two-legged ones, and he runs after four-legged ones. Don’t go after those! Look for beauty, do not look for ugliness! How shall you find beauty? By practicing beauty; by performing good works you slowly become perfect.

Come, O Shah-i Mardan. Teach us adab/good manners, hayā/modesty and ‘irfan/spiritual knowledge. Seek assemblies of spiritual knowledge. Don’t sit around in coffee shops. You will become a beast. Enter the saray, the palace. Seek the Presence of the Sultan. So that you might become one of the Sultan’s beloved friends, whom He invites to be with Him. Look to the Sultan, look for the Sultan. Madad, ya Sāhib-i Dawrān, Shāh-i Mardān. Let us therefore say: Bismillahir-Rahmani r-Rahim. Allah Allah. Speak the Basmala, so the gates might open. May they open, so that you may inwardly be filled with joy, so that they may robe you in the manifestations of Beauty. Go!

Those manifestations of Beauty, what do you desire, and where will you find them? You will find them at the Bayt-ullah/the Ka‘aba. The House of Allah is not empty, meaningless. Do not be like those four-legged beasts who go round and round pulling a water wheel, trying to raise water in the well. There is the Bayt-ullah, and from it, from the House of Allah a gift comes to you. A gift – what is this gift? What is this lovely gift that comes to men? The gift of Beauty. In that way he is dressed in beauty. O our Lord, zid baitaka hādha ta‘zīman wa tashrīfan wa takrīman, wa mahābatan wa rif’atan wa birran. Such du’as are spoken at the Ka‘aba-i mu‘azzama, at the House of Allah. May you be robed in such honour, in the honour of human dignity.

Come to us, O Shah-i Mardan. Your beloved friends are in awe of you. Do not be obsessed by things to eat and drink, or by fancy dress and adornments. Your enjoyment lies not in the robe you have received, but in the fact that it was the Sultan who sent it to you. If your contentment lay in the robe that was sent to you, you would be worthless. Who sent you that robe? That is what you must think about. From that you must derive contentment. From the House of Allah you receive a gift. Do not rejoice in that thing, that gift; but in the one who sent you the gift. Do not rejoice in the dress, this robe, the Robe of Glory, as it is called, but instead rejoice and find enjoyment in the One who dressed you in this robe. O our Lord, mā shā ‘Allāh, lā quwwata illa bi-llāh.

This is Shah-i Mardan. His loving friends are in awe of him. Why is that? The Robe of Glory, it is he who dresses upon us the Robe of Glory. For this you must love and honour him. Let him come and dress upon us the Robe of Glory. How many different kinds of robes of honour there are! We can mention only a small number of different robes. But there is no end or limit to these robes. The most honourful robe is the one dressed upon you by Allah Almighty. Have you tried to wear the robe of honour which the Lord of Might and Glory has dressed upon you? Have you ever wondered about it? You have not. If you have not done so, you are a beast, worse than a beast. Give us strength, O Lord. Shah-i Mardan belongs to the assembly of spiritual knowledge, may he teach us what we should request.

What is the value of seeking this vile world? This vile world is just about worthless. Rabbī, ishrah lī sadrī (20:25) (Expand my breast) wa yassir lī amrī (20:26) (Ease my task for me) wa-hlul ‘uqdatan min lisānī (20:27) (loose a knot from my tongue) yafqahū qawlī (20:28) (that they might understand me) Right? You must ask for whatever you want, you must ask for it. These silly people have fallen in love with the cesspool of this decaying world. Don’t ask for that! Do not desire this shabby world! Kulla yawmin huwa fī sha’n. (55:29) Every day His Glory is revealed anew. Glory belongs to Allah Almighty. Each day brings different manifestations. Ask for a new one, request new beauty. Ask to be given new gifts. Request new honours.

O my Lord! Shah-i Mardan is laying it out for us, let us not grow tired, O Lord. Don’t make it wearisome for us, O Lord. You are our Lord. Kulla yawmin huwa fī sha’n. (55:29) The Glory of Allahu Dhū l-Jalāl changes with every moment. What are you living for? For what are we living? The same thing everybody else lives for, we live for that too. Everybody is living for this dunya. Eh, so we are also living for it. And what have you gained in the end? You will have gained a shroud of ten cubits’ length. With that you will depart and go. You will take nothing else with you. O man, try to become Allah’s honoured deputy, a sacred human being, says Shah-i Mardan. The rank of Allah’s deputy on earth is a rank that Allah Almighty bestows only upon His special servants. Seek to become that honoured deputy, that sacred human being. Oooo.

What ceremonies they engage in. What clothes they have tailored. It is all a fake show. They dress up in special clothes, saying, we are such and such a one. Eh man, you are neither this nor that. You are just a worthless person who is in love with this world of rags. You didn’t know what it was you desired. What did you bring along from the world? When they are placing you in your grave, two grand, majestic angels will come to you. They will ask you: What have you taken with you from this world? What will be your answer? What did you bring with you? You were the owner of mansions and of gold. You had pairs of oxen and farms. Did you bring them with you? You did not bring anything. That means you wasted your time in the world; you did not understand what to take from this world.

I have come full of ardent love for my Lord, and for His Beloved, I have come full of love for Shah-i Mardan, I have come full of love! O you angels, tell this to my Lord Who has sent you! I have come full of love and ardour for my Lord Who created me and gave me life, and Who today has lowered me into this grave, saying, “O My servant, this is your final resting place.” I have come here full of love for the supreme and most glorified Divine Being I have brought my ardent love for His Beloved, and I have come robed in Shah-i Mardan’s awe-inspiring words and majestic grandeur. Mā shā Allāhu kān. Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. People will learn, they will be trained. They will learn the way to humanity. Come to us, O Shah-i Mardan.

Life, life. Man is looking for eternal life, but he cannot find it. In his grave they will stand at his forehead and ask: You did not find what you looked for. You did not know what you were seeking. You came to be buried in this earth like a bunch of rags. O our Lord, grant us ardour and love for the sake of our faith. O our Lord, make it easy for us to travel on the ways that Shah-i Mardan has shown to us. So that – Shah-i Mardan is one who brings us light from the heavens. You must seek those who bring light. Do not seek those who bring fire. Do not seek those who bring you flames. But people living nowadays are running after the ones who bring fire. They do not seek the ones bringing light. Light can be found on the lovely ways of Shah-i Mardan.

O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan! Mā shā’ Allāhu kān, Whatever Allah wishes, that will come to be. Besides that nothing can be. Run after that. Run to Allah. Run to our glorious Prophet (sallAllahu Alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam). Run after Shah-i Mardan. So you may rise in rank, and your worth and value may be increased; so you may gain in honour and dignity. O our Lord, send to us Shah-i Mardan who will teach us these things, O Lord. O Glorious Prophet (sallAllahu Alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam). The good things you have brought to us. You have sent Shah-i Mardan to teach us these good manners. O Allah, Lord of the Holy House, the Baytullah, send us the robe of health, the robe of grandeur, the robe of excellence, the robe of honour. May we receive these! O our Lord and Master, Shah-i Mardan comes to us and speaks. Let us believe in him and act accordingly. Let us thereby gain honour. wa min Allāhi t-tawfīq.

Let us say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim – This is what opens the gates to all the levels of Paradise. This world is worth nothing. Let us say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. May our assembly be perfect. May our assembly be an assembly of spiritual knowledge. May we be honoured, O Lord. May we be strengthened and relieved, O Lord. He who recites the Basmala has no sorrow. If a person says Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim he will not be sad; he who does not say it, will have sadness. Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allāhu akbar wa li-llāhi l-hamd.

Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim

‘Differentiate Between Nur & Nar’

Allahumma qawwi dha’fi fi ridak. O our Lord! May You remove our weakness towards Your good pleasure. Welcome to you, O yaran of Shahi Mardan. May this assembly of ours be beautiful, may it be joyous, may it be enlightened, may it be honoured. May it be beautiful. “Khalaqna l-‘insana fi ‘ahsani taqwim” (95:4). Allah created Man in the most beautiful shape. “Khalaqna l-‘insana fi ‘ahsani taqwim”. Learn this. Go ahead O Shahi Mardan. The arena is all yours. Your yaran are majdhub, are attracted to you. Their hearts are with you. O holy Shahi Mardan. Your yaran admire you. Your yaran are coming empty, or they are coming hungry, and they desire that this emptiness of theirs be filled with your knowledge. We desire to be filled with the adab/manners of Shahi Mardan.

Madad O Shahi Mardan. May our day be a good day. May our work be good. May our end be beautiful. Go ahead O Shahi Mardan. Your yaran admire you. Let us say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim for everything. “If the beginning of every act is with the Name of Allah, the end of that act does not become abtar/cut off”. Whoever remembers the Name of Allah, his doings are not cut off. Let us say Allahu akbar. Let us say Bismillahi rRahmani r-Rahim. All praise and gratitude is for Allah Who granted us the ability to say it.

Go ahead O Shahi Mardan. Your speech makes your yaran full of admiration. This dunya is a dawran (cycle). Some are on the bottom and some are on the top. O Shahi Mardan, who do they elevate? They elevate who possess adab- this dawran-e falak (cycle of existence) elevates. It degrades some others. Who it elevates are who possess adab. Who it degrades are who are deprived of adab, they are who don’t know adab. For this, Man should learn- he should learn adab, from Shahi Mardan. What supports the huge dunya? If it wasn’t for the Bismillah, the earth could not be supported. What supports the creation? It is supported with Bismillahi rRahmani r-Rahim. If it wasn’t for the Bismillah, the creation could not stand. Allahu Akbar! Allahu akbar, Allahu akbarul akbar. Subhan Allah. O our Lord, we are weak servants. Go ahead O Shahi Mardan, make this munajat/prayer for us. We are weak servants.

What is it that makes Man grow stronger? Qawwi dha’fana fi ridak. When does a person become strong? Go ahead O Shahi Mardan. If you work in the way of pleasing Allah, you are granted strength. The weak become strong, with what? When you remember the Majestic Name of Allahu Dhu-l Jalal, you take strength. Marhaban O yaran of Shahi Mardan. You came in well and you leave well. The sorrows, heaviness on you is lifted off. The troubles and discomfort you have inside go away. You become like a falcon. The falcon wanders the skies. Qawwi dha’fana fi ridak – May You make us grow strong in the way of pleasing You O our Lord. Who wants to be strong? Go ahead O Shahi Mardan. Whoever wants to be strong, let him work in the way of pleasing Allah. Finished! He doesn’t need any pills or medicine. When you take your step in the way of pleasing Allah, strength comes to you; nur comes down on you from Heavens.

“Faltamisu Nura”(57:13), the Holy Verse. “Seek Nur” says the Almighty Lord of Glory. This is what Shahi Mardan is explaining- “Faltamisu Nura”, seek Nur. Nur is life in dunya and in akhirah also that Nur will be an honour, a life for you eternally. Therefore “Faltamisu Nura”, seek Nur. Go ahead O Shahi Mardan. Where can Nur be found? Where can one find the Nur? Nur can be found with the ones who possess Nur. “Faltamisu Nura”. Seek, it says, seek Nur. This is what our mission is. Don’t search for the trash of dunya. Don’t search for its mountains, for its rocks. Don’t search for its gold, its silver. Don’t search for its diamonds or its gold or its rubies or its coral. “Faltamisu Nura”. Search for Nur. Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar.

The people who don’t search for Nur, who are without Nur, they are inside the darkness, they are in darkness. Therefore the instruction for them is, what Allah Almighty informed them of through the Master of the two worlds, “Faltamisu Nura”. One wonders if the people of today are in Nur or in darkness? The human beings today are left inside the darkness. Everything they do throws them more and more into the darkness. Nothing that people do today brings them out into the light. It throws them into darkness. Then get out of the darkness and search for Nur. Who are the people of Nur? Try to find those ones. The possessors of Nur – there are people on whom Nur descended. Search for them so that you can take Nur. Shame on the people who are running after fire. They are running after nar/fire and not looking for Nur. Is what today’s people are looking for, Nur or nar? What the people of today are looking for is fire & that fire will burn them.

“Faltamisu Nura”, it says. Look for Nur so that the doors of the seven Heavens open and you dive into their oceans of Nur. Animals can’t enter there. The place where animals enter is the barn. But who looks for Nur does not look for the nur on earth but looks for it in Heavens. Go ahead O Shahi Mardan. Masha’Allahu kan. O yaran of Shahi Mardan, look for Nur. These assemblies of ours take place to look for Nur. May Nur come to us. There is the Nur nature in people as well as the nar, the fire nature. Look for the Nur nature, so that you can be Nur and the doors of the seven Heavens open for you. But everybody is looking for nar, looking for fire. What do they do with the fire? People look for the fire to extinguish the Nur. They invented all kinds of fires. What is the reason for it? So that it extinguishes the Nur. Shame on those people who are the enemies of Nur. They worship the fire. The people of this time worship fire. Shaytan was made of fire. It was expelled, it didn’t want the Nur. It did not bow to the Prophet Adam so that it could take Nur. It said “The fire in me is enough for me, I don’t want any other”.

Fire burns. Nur is life. Fire is death. And it (shaytan) swore on oath, saying “I’ll set traps for mankind on the ways of death so that they kill each other, so that they remain in the darkness”. It wants people to remain in darkness just as it remained in darkness and not be in Nur. Allah Almighty says: “Faltamisu Nura”. Look for Nur. Nur is not with shaytan but with the Rasulu Kibriya (sallAllahu Alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam). O Nurun Nur (Light of Light) – Allah Almighty granted His Habib (sallAllahu Alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam) from that Nur. Look for it through him. But they don’t. O Shahi Mardan, you said, “They are not looking for it through him because they have become the servants of their dirty egos.” The meaning of their lives in their opinion, is to feed, to decorate, to entertain, to enjoy their dirty egos. All of them are in darkness. Go ahead O Shahi Mardan. Because of this, people like the fire but don’t like the Nur.

Fire is with the shaytan and Nur is with the prophets. Following shaytan is easy but following a prophet, asking for Nur is difficult- it is difficult for the people. “Faltamisu Nura”. These people will change. How will they change? Say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. You change when you say it. It makes you dive into the Nur oceans. If you don’t say it, you remain in the hells of darkness. Hell is not suitable for Man. This is why Allah Almighty created Man in paradise. It is the paradise that is from Nur. There is no fire in paradise. Is there any fire? There is not. It is the paradise. Allahu akbar ul-akbar. People have come to a state where they don’t know what they want. “Faltamisu Nura”. Instead of “Seek Nur”, the people of today seek fire. What will you do with the fire? “I will burn mankind” they say. Who is their master? Shaytan. For what does it want the fire? It makes them build all these weapons filled with fire. Who teaches them? Shaytan. Why is it doing all this? To extinguish mankind. O people! Allah Almighty granted you honour. Your honour is with your humanity. Why do you want to burn your honoured being with fire? Shame on you.

Because shaytan is made of fire, it makes people worship fire. It presents the fire to people, saying “take these fires”. The people like this. Dunya is not enough for them and they are looking for fire in order to build new worlds. What is it that they strive for? A new world. What is it built upon? Upon fire. So here it is: the world that the people of this time built, is on fire. The world that the prophets brought is on Nur. Prophet Jesus did not bring fire. The Prophet of the End of Times (sallAllahu Alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam) did not bring fire. All these thousands of prophets brought Nur. Walk behind them so that you can find Nur. As for the Nur, if you leave fire you find the Nur. “Faltamisu Nura”. You find the Nur with the ones who are the possessors of Nur. It says “Seek”- the order of Heavens. “I sent prophets filled with Nur, so that you can take from that Nur; you can take from the Nur of Heavens”. You left this and lit fire on earth. You set dunya on fire. You said “Let us worship this fire. Let this be our way – let us burn, burn, burn.” Now this is the only claim, the only desire of the people to burn the world. Why should you burn the world? “Let us burn! This is what our master told us.” May you burn in hell with your master! Hasha min al-huzur.

Who is their master? Shaytan. What does it teach? To burn with fire. The master of today’s people is shaytan. What it teaches is fire. They are teaching all kinds of fire to burn the people and all humanity, to burn the honour of humanity. Allahu akbar. SubhanAllah. This is the claim of shaytan, and this is what the people run after also. Shame on them. Man was not created from fire. Man was created from Nur. Shaytan was created from fire. For this, shaytan wants to make people from shaytan (fire) like itself. Adam alaihi s-salam came down from Heavens with Nur. Shaytan said “I will take this Nur from you and put fire instead of the Nur. I will set dunya on fire”, said shaytan. May Allah protect from its evil.

Beauty is with the Nur. Ugliness is with the fire. Keep your Nur. Look for the possessors of Nur. If you don’t look for them, you will become a coal. Your Nur will be taken away and you will become all black, because shaytan’s appearance is all black because there is not even a speck of Nur with it. And there is no Nur with most of today’s people. There is darkness on their faces and they get completely messed up inside that darkness.

O people, people of today, distinguish between Nur and nar. Look for the Nur and run away from the fire. Nur is with the Prophet of the End of Times (sallAllahu Alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam) and all the prophets. Nar/fire is with shaytan and with who follows it. Their lives have no taste. They are always burning and always want to burn. Alaihim ma yastahiqqun- whatever they deserve will be given to them. Who drags humanity into the fire today is shaytan and people are running after it. They are running to fire -all nations are running to fire. Shame on them. Shame on them. You are created from Nur and then you call people to the fire. O Ajam (Iran/Non-Arabs), O Russian, O Turk, O Indian, O Arab, O Farisi (Persian)! Don’t call, don’t drag people into the fire! Give them Nur, don’t give them fire or later the fire that comes from Heavens will burn you. Beware O Farsi, O Turk, O Ajam, O other nations! You are calling people to the fire. But a fire is coming down, is approaching, that will burn you. Beware. Be together with the possessors of Nur. Go ahead O Shahi Mardan. Masha Allah. If you leave them, you fall inside the fire. May Allah forgive us. Go ahead O Shahi Mardan. Your yaran admire you. May your holy words be a power, a strength for us. Then let us say, Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Say it and don’t fear. Who recites the Bismillah has no fear. Who is without the Bismillah is in all kinds of troubles. Aman ya Rabbi. Aman ya Rabbi. May Allah Almighty not make us from the ones who forget the Bismillah. Let us say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Success is from Allah Almighty. What Allah loves is Nur. What shaytan loves is fire. Run to Nur. Leave the fire and dunya is in safety. Fatiha.

Shukur Allah. InshaAllah Nur will burn are destroy the nar/fire. Shaytan will not be victorious. The Prophet of the End of Times (sallAllahu Alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam) will be victorious. Go ahead O Shahi Mardan. Let us say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. May our outer & inner beings grow stronger, more beautiful & honourable. Say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim and don’t fear.

Faith gives you…


Faith gives you honour. Faith gives you light. Faith gives you strength.

Where does it all come from? From Rabbu l-Izzat. The esteem and honour Allah gave to His Prophets, will come to us also. Ya. Allah Allah. “Innahu min Sulaymana wa innahu Bismillahi rRahmani r-Rahim” (27:30). Being the queen of seven huge countries, Balqis searched for honour. She considered herself honourable. But seeing the holy letter (from Prophet Sulayman) her honour fell to zero. Abandoning everything she ran to Prophet Sulayman. She said, “neither do I want my gold, nor my throne, nor my property. I want you, O Sulayman. Your blessed letter has come. Your honourable letter has come. “I want that honour.” She, a Sultan of seven countries, sought honour by the arrival of a letter.

She became a slave to those words. “Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim” had given her honour. She said, “the honour I had wasn’t real. “My throne is golden. Jinn around me, under my command.” She said, “these things have no value. I surrender to the Lord of Prophet Sulayman. I offer my servanthood, I cast aside everything.” O people! Don’t be satan’s clowns! That queen, Balqis, “for those words I sacrifice my estate,” she said. “Prophet Sulayman profited me by those honourable words. He sent me the Basmala. Honour is in this, not in my golden throne or my golden crown. Honour is with Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim”.

She was told to say “Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim,” she said. She gained honour, here and Hereafter. Masha’Allah, the Queen of Sheba. She said, “This property of mine has no value at all. What is of value was not with me. What is of value is with Prophet Sulayman.” She obeyed him. O people! You say it also! Say, Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Make sajda. You will be granted every goodness. You will have no fear, here or Hereafter. Wa min Allah at-tawfiq.

‘Al-Wasilah’ ~ Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Qs)


Dastur, ya Shah-i Mardan. Your beloved friends are in awe of you. May our day be a good one. May our work be for the good and may we reach to a good end. Mā shā’ Allahu kāna. Please come to us. O people, you must listen to Shah-i Mardan and try to take your share from it. Let us say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim.

What is man expecting, what does he want? Come, O Shah-i Mardan. What is man seeking? Our assembly is the assembly of Shah-i Mardan. Let’s listen to him. What does man expect? This is a question. Let us listen and learn the ways Shah-i Mardan is about to show us. Man, man expects something of this world. So, of whom is he expecting it? He expects it of the One who created him and sent him into this world. A man waiting at the Sultan’s gate, of whom does he expect something? Does he expect it of the Sultan’s doorkeeper? Does he expect it of the Sultan? He expects it of the Sultan. Marhaba. O beloved friends of Shah-i Mardan, be free of care and be at ease. Those standing at the Sultan’s gate are carefree, they are at ease and they are honoured.

What does man want? He wants honour. Allahu akbar. Dastur, ey Shah-i Mardan. That’s how it is. What do we want in this world? A house, some land, gardens, vineyards, gold and money. What good comes to man from these things? Why does he desire them? He wants these things as means for him to gain honour. That’s it. wa-btaghū ilayhi l-wasīla (5:35), seek the means to draw close to Him. The holy verse: wa-btaghū – ibtighā; ibtighā does not signify an ordinary request or desire. There is this, and then Allah Almighty also says: as’alu-llāha min fadlihi, ask of Allah from His Bounty. Shaykh Mehmet Efendi. as’alu-llāha min fadlihi, Ask Allah Almighty for His Bounty. as’alu-llāha min fadlihi. Ask of the gracious Bounty of Allah in whom you have placed your faith. wa-btaghū ilayhi l-wasīla (5:35), seek the means to draw close to Him. There should be in you an endless desire. Do not say, ‘Up to here!’ Wasīla.

Come, O Shah-i Mardan. Allahu Akbar. As Allah is Akbar, the Greatest, His grant also possesses the greatest strength. Ask nothing of anybody else. wa-btaghū ilayhi l-wasīla (5:35) Look to find wasīla. What for? In order to gain even greater closeness to Allah Almighty. When wasīla is mentioned, look for the means to draw near, Allah, Allah, Subhan Allah. If a person plans to pay a visit to the Sultan, he seeks the means to do so. He seeks one who will introduce him into the presence of the Sultan. O heedless person, why don’t you seek the means of gaining access to the Presence of your Creator? wa-btaghū ilayhi l-wasīla. (5:35) O our Lord, grant us strength! For the sake of His Beloved (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam). This is an important point. Seek the means to draw near to Him, the Lord of Might and Glory. Come, O Shah-i Mardan, come and be our means of drawing near. All you who are in attendance, marhaba. And all of you listening, marhaba.

Let there be comfort and ease. inna ardī wāsi‘atun, fa iyyāya fa‘budūn. (29:56) There is no limit to My Dominion. However, inna ardī wāsi‘atun, fa iyyāya fa‘budūn. (29:56) He says: Do not look at My Dominion, look instead at My Kingdom. wa-btaghū ilayhi l-wasīla. (5:35) In order to reach to My Kingdom, you must look for the means to approach. Ya. Seek such means. For us it is Shah-i Mardan, he is our means for drawing close to Him. Because of him (S.Mardan) we have light, and joy, and cheer. He who forgets about Allah, he has neither gladness, nor ease, nor happiness. It is a shame for him. You must seek to draw near to the Lord of Glory. You must seek Nearness to Allahu Dhu l-Jalāl, the Sultan. O our Lord, let us be among those who understand this.

O Shah-i Mardan. Tell people, how mankind is to be! For what are they made human beings? What have they been commanded to do? Has man come in order to engage in fighting? Are men here in order to destroy each other? What is it that man desires? wa-btaghū ilayhi l-wasīla. (5:35) In order to draw near to Him, you should have one who puts in a good word for you in the presence of the Sultan. He must find such an advocate. Look for the wasīla/means, He says, in order to draw near. Don’t be like a stick of dry wood.


A flower, Shaykh Mehmet Efendi, is alive and sprouts afresh. Through its fresh green it wishes to approach Allah Almighty. Even a green blade of grass grows and puts forth flowers. For what? Let me win their hearts, let me draw close to my Lord, it says. How lovely! It springs forth from the ground, the black earth. It turns green and shows its various colours. For whom does it produce such beauty? Whom does it do this for? Ah, if only we could realize this! All the different kinds of flowers, the different types of trees, the different kinds of fruits, for what do they all grow and flower, and shine? wa-btaghū ilayhi l-wasīla. (5:35) In order to gain the Lord’s good pleasure. Eh, we have become sticks of dry wood. Dry wood. Our Lord Almighty says: Draw near to Me! I will grant you a place in My Eternal Kingdom, where you will abide in ever-lasting beauty for all eternity. Do not dry up and perish. Allahu akbar. Subhan Allah, Sultan Allah.

Man stays in this world in order to find perfection to his beauty. A tiny little child wiggles and scrambles about. For what? So that it might grow up and begin to flower. So that its beauty might appear. A small child wishes to grow. This is what a small child wants. If it didn’t want this, would it accept to drink its mother’s milk? It wishes to grow, it wishes to be seen. It wishes to see in itself the Grace of the Lord of Glory that He bestowed upon it, that tiny child. That is why it sucks its mother’s milk. Let me grow, let me shine forth. Let me see the Grace of my Lord. That is its aim and intention. O people. If you do not exert yourself to behold the Grace of the Lord, you are a dead log. The Lord of Might and Glory has not created you to be a dead log. Allahu akbar. Please come, O Shah-i Mardan. How beautifully he says this. He speaks of nature. Allah, who has adorned nature in every way, for what does nature give all these things? So that it might appear beautiful to its Lord, therefore it seeks to have beauty. It looks for a pleasant state. It looks for Divine Favour.

A tiny little seed begins to grow. A tiny sesame seed begins to sprout. It carries a secret within it. Every seed carries a secret. It wishes to show its secret. It falls to the ground. From the earth its secret begins to emerge. As for mankind – can mankind be without a secret? Man also has a secret. He has a Divine secret. In order for this Divine secret to appear, Allah Almighty has sent him down to earth. O Lord, You are Subhan, You are Sultan, O Lord. Allahu akbar. The tiniest grain of seed will struggle to burst through the earth and sprout forth. A flower will appear. It will show its secret. It turns into a flower, or a tree. It turns into a rose, or into a fruit. It has a secret, this tiny little seed. A mustard seed, ya, it begins to grow. The secret within it will become evident. Allah Almighty, the true Sultan of the Universe, for the sake of that tiny seed makes the great, big sun to rise. Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.

O mankind, so that the beauty within you might be exposed, He has made the sun submissive, and the stars in the sky subservient to you. He lets the blessed rain fall from the sky. Because you do not know this, instead of mercy raining upon you, wrath comes down on you from the heavens. Everywhere there are floods. Allah Almighty has not created these people so that they might perish in a flood. May Allah preserve us. Allah Almighty wishes for man’s secret to become evident. Allahu akbar. Come, O Shah-i Mardan. Mankind has become a flock that has lost its way. What kind of flock? wa idha l-wuhūshu hushirat; (81:5) Man is kind. He is created with goodness. But when he no longer appreciates his goodness he will turn into – what? Into wuhūsh/wild beasts. wa idha l-wuhūshu hushirat; (81:5) It is not the wild beasts from the forests who are going to invade our places, man himself will become wild. He will turn wild. They will devour each other, crush one another. Shame on them.

Allahu Dhu l-Jalāl has not created human beings that they might destroy one another. You may not even step upon an ant. An ant is a tiny creature that Allah has created. It says: Don‘t step on me. Mind your way, O son of man. Thus these animals call to him, those tiny animals. What a beautiful system, what a great order! What lovely ways of adab. Come to us, O Shah-i Mardan. We have lost our adab. When you lose your adab, you will have lost everything. You will become dirt. Allahu Dhu l-Jalāl has not sent you here for you to be dirt. He sent you down to earth for you to be gold! Pay heed! wa-btaghu ilayhi l-wasīla. (5:35) He said: You must look for ways to turn yourself into gold. Don’t be dung. Don’t be manure! He sent you here to become gold. From Paradise He sent you here. What are you to do? Become gold.

In Paradise you did not turn into gold. He sent you into the world for that. You move around in this world, running back and forth. You don’t know what it is you really want. Gold is what gets into Paradise, and precious jewels. Dung does not go in, nor manure. O man, so many prophets have come to teach this. Mankind. Come to us. O Shah-i Mardan, We still do not know our own identity. We don’t know who we are. They devour each other. What for? Is the world not enough for you? Why are you falling upon other people? If you are grateful for what you have been given He will give you a hundred, a thousand times as much. Allah Almighty will give you eternity. Speak of this, O Pope! Is this not written in the Injīl? Look, tell your nation. O ‘ulama of alAzhar, O ‘ulama of India and of China, know this, and speak the truth. Be at rest and don’t make war for the sake of this dunya. It is in order to become gold, or to find ways to recover the golden jewels you have been given, that you were sent to this place.

Come, O Shah-i Mardan. khalaqa l-insān, ‘allamahu l-bayān. (55:3,4) He created man. When he says bayān/explanation, you must look for what He taught. O our Lord, it is in order to teach us the ways of adab that Shah-i Mardan has come. Masha’Allah. There is not just one, there are not just a thousand, there are countless Shah Mardans. There are unlimited, untold places that receive their share of that mercy, the mercy that descends from heaven. They receive their share. From below the ground a yellow flower grows up, or a red flower, a purple flower; a large tree, a small tree; one kind of fruit, another kind of fruit, so that man may look and learn from it. O mankind! You are essentially the sacred human being.

Allah Almighty did not call this Creation into being for Himself, no. khallāqu l-‘azīm, the Great Creator. In one instant He creates millions and billions of universes like this one, filled to the brim. wa huwa l-qādiru l-muqtadir. Allah who is powerful and who bestows power. Come, O Shah-i Mardan. Your Lovers are in awe of you. Much thanks to Allah, refreshment comes to our heart, and our face brightens. Let us say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Rely on this. As long as your tongue utters Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim, you need have no fear. It means you are holding a Divine decree in your hand. Nothing can withstand that. “Ya Sariyya al jabal, jabal.” Sayyidina ‘Umar, no? (From Medina he warned S. Sariyya of an ambush in Egypt) From whatever distance he (S. Umar) spoke with the secret at his disposal. He could be heard at a distance of many months.

Man is full of secrets. Nothing can equal his beauty. Man is beautiful. He is not hideous. He who performs hideous actions is not a human being. May Allah make us to be among those who perform good and pure actions. Come to us, O Shah-i Mardan. al-Fatiha.

Lā ilāha ill-Allah. Lā ilāha ill-Allah. Lā ilāha ill-Allah. Sayyiduna Muhammadun Habībullah. Rasulullah, Habībullah. Do not remove us from beneath your banner, O Rasūlallah. O Shah-i Mardan. Lead us as well beneath the banner of Allah’s Beloved (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam). Let us also have that honour. Let us say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. May all the gates be opened. al-Fatiha.

Allah’s Are The Soldiers Of Heavens and Earth (48:7)

Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim


Allah Jalla Jalaluhu, Jallat Azamatuhu, He created the ‘Lawh’ (tablet of destiny), and the Divine Pen. From the tip of the divine Pen came ink. O Glorious and Mighty Lord what shall I write? (it said) Our Glorious Lord said: Write, Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Till the Basmala was  written, the Ulama knows this, 700 years passed. Say so that you may open and get strength. O yaran Shah Mardan. Listen. How lovely Shah Mardan is talking. Don’t have desire for this world. It is tasteless This world is carcass, dung, rubbish, and even worse. Don’t desire it with greed. Stop desiring it. He (swt) will dress you with the cloak of honor. Janab Allah said once Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim, and it was written for 700 years. He vowed with magnificence by this glorious Name. Whoever says it, 700 years of worshipping will be written for him. Let us say Bismillahi r-Rahman r-Rahim. Let us say: Innahu min Sulaymana wa innahu Bismillahi rRahmani r-Rahim. (27:30)

O foolish Man! What are you searching for? Does it suit you to paint, make signboards and walk around with them? What suits you? Write Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim, lift it up and walk! Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. O Egyptians!, O People of Damascus! O Turks, O Kurds! Carry this banner and you will see. Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Allah is so beautiful. May He give us strength. May this heaviness be taken off us. For sure it will be. It will be taken and strength will come. How did his strength appear, the mighty Prophet Solomon’s? When Balqis, the queen of Sheba, who was ruling over seven regions, a sultan, she was ruling seven regions and sitting on a golden throne. When she saw the magnificence of Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim her throne trembled and she fell down. She asked, what is this? What is in this Name? What an honor that my throne trembled. I fell from my golden throne.

Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar ma li siwa hu. Will one of them remember? Great Egypt, many Arab countries, Islamic countries, they come out in the streets with signs in their hands on which is written, Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. The crown and throne of the Queen of Sheba collapsed when Bismillahir r-Rahmani r-Rahim was said. The people who are not Muslim, irreligious and faithless, their rockets will immediately be stopped by this. Instantly they will be disrupted. Innahu Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Min Sulayman, Recite the Basmala on it and whatever kind of rocket is flying it will stop. Hay! Hay Hay! Allahu Dhul Jalal’s glorious Name, Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Such a beauty, such a feast. Sheikh Mehmed efendi. When you say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim the world will be filled with golden thrones. On golden thrones great sultanates would be golden. But they are not reciting.

My (Balqis) sultanate is golden but, this sultanate, this throne is not like the throne of Prophet Solomon. My (Balqis) sultanate has collapsed by Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. With the holy word, with the sacred word it collapsed. Prophet Solomon is standing. Solomon, Prophet Solomon. How is Prophet Solomon’s sultanate standing? Innahu min Sulayman wa innahu Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. (27:30) Allahu Akbar! They will destroy them with the honorable Basmala. Truly! May the sorrow from our faces go away. Blow. Heeeh. Are you scared by the coming of the rockets. What are these? Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Rabbi ma li siwa hu. Say and stop it. In front of the mosques, in front of the maqams, stay there and whichever power will come to destroy you, we will see. Allahu Rabbi Allahu Rabbi maa li siwa hu. Basmala sharifa. Allahu Akbar. Hold this! Instead of signs, hold this in your hands and walk. Neither rockets, nor cannons nor rifles can touch you. Say Allahu Allah Allahu Rabbi maa li siwahu. Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Sit in your homes. Don’t run to here and there.

O our Lord You are Subhan. Send us your Habib (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam), he has taught us everything. What Shah Mardan is teaching us, is from the teachings of Al-Habib (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam). The Holy Quran was taught to the Al-Habib. The Holy Quran says this: Innahu min Sulayman wa innahu Bismillahi rRahmani r-Rahim. (27:30) O ulama say! Gathering in the square, don’t cry out like wild animals. Say Allahu Akbar. Say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Don’t be afraid. Isn’t there any one reciting the Holy Quran. Recite and understand. Understand the secret of the honorable Basmala. If you dress with that secret irresistible armies will come to you. Wa lillahi junudu ssamawati wa-l ‘ard. (48:7) “The armies of heaven and earth belong to Allah!” How do they move? With what are they moving? All of them move with Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Junudu samawati wa-l ard.(48:7)

O you, who are claiming to be Muslim, be Junudullah. Warriors for Allah. Junudullah. All of you are calling yourselves made up names. Wa lillahi junudu s-samawati wa-l ‘ard. (48:7) The soldiers of heavens and earth are Allah’s soldiers. Say that we are junudullah. Not even one says it. Allahu Allah Allahu Rabbi ma li siwahu. Allahu Allah Jalla Jalaluhu Jalla Azamatuhu. Wa la ilaha ghayruhu. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. Your yaran are fond of you. How beautifully you are speaking. If only somebody could understand. If anybody could understand. If you say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim and point to the sky, a plane will stop flying. Their rockets, missiles won’t work. Allah has the Junud (soldiers). Wa lillahi junudu s-samawati wa-l ‘ard. On earth there are the soldiers of Allah. Which of you are saying that we are Junudullah? Which one of you is moving with Takbir? Each of you are hiding somewhere in a hole. Wa lillahi junudu s-samawati wa-l ‘ard (48:7).


O our Lord tawba O our Lord. What magnificence, what majesty. Say we are Junudullah. Our banner is Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Walk and don’t be afraid. O Shah Mardan your admirers are fond of you. We ask for power. Janabul Haqq even gave power to an ant. Even one living ant can demolish their armies. Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Subhan Allah Sultan Allah. We are not able to know ourselves. We don’t know who we are. We don’t know whom we are serving. You are Hazrat Insan (Man)! You should serve Allah. This is your duty, not any other thing. May Allah make us from the ones understanding. We are the soldiers of Allah, we serve Allah. We are Junudullah, we don’t fear. Our banner is, Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim.
