Ask your Lord. What He will give has no bounds or limits. O our Lord, we are at Your door. There is no other door. We are at the door of our Lord. May our hearts widen and fill with joy. O our Lord, Owner of all creation. There is no limit or end to our Lord’s grants. We are weak servants. We want from Your force.

“Ghulibati r-Rum” (30:2) “Wa Hum Min Ba’di Ghalabihim Sayaghlibun” (30:3) Rum, the Bastion of Kufr. Defeat was Rum, the Bastion of Kufr. They were made to be defeated. Allah Almighty ‘Azza wa Jall said – “Ghulibati r-Rum” (30:2) The Bastion of Kufr was defeated. The Bastion of Kufr was defeated, it cannot be victorious. Absolute Victory is for Allah Almighty. You are Subhan, Sultan O our Lord. Fill our hearts with iman/faith ya Rabbi, so we can love You and keep Your orders. Those who keep Your orders are Your servants. Keep His orders and be a servant to your Lord. “Ghulibati r-Rum”(30:2) The bastion of kufr was defeated. “Wa Hum Min Ba’di Ghalabihim Sayaghlibun”(30:3) They will think that they are victorious, but absolute victory belongs to Allah Dhul Jalal. O our Lord, who can stand in front of Your Magnificence? We are weak servants. Our Mawla is Al-Qadir Al-Muqtadir. May our hearts open up. May our souls open up. “Ghulibati r-Rum” (30:2) Absolute victory, absolute victory belongs to Allah Jalla Jalaluhu Jallat Azamatuhu wa la ilaha ghayruhu illa Hu.

O our Lord, we are Your weak servants. May our hearts widen, may our hearts open and shine. May our hearts be filled with love and longing for You. O our Mawla, Creator of heavens and earth. La ilaha illa Hu. illa Hu. There is no other God. The Only God is Allah Almighty. O our Lord, we want to have the best Adab towards You. We want to run to Your service in front of Your Divine Glory. Let’s open up. May our hearts open up. May our hearts open. Let’s say “Allah” so our hearts will open. Allah, Creator of heavens and earth, what great things He has given us weak servants. He gave us in this world and in the hereafter without measure. He is our Lord. Don’t be afraid. Don’t fear. He appointed you for paradise. You made a mistake and were kicked out. Come back from your mistake. Leave your mistake. Be careful and clean.

O Yaran Shah Mardan. O holy ones, there is no end to the grants, no limits. You loved and created. So let us love also. Let’s love our Creator Mawla. Let’s be filled with love and longing for Him. O our Lord, Owner of heavens and earth, our Lord, Al-Qadir Al-Muqtadir. We want to recognize You, we want to know You. We want to respect and love You, ya Rabbana. Ya Rabbighfir warham wa anta khayr-ur rahimeen. Allah, Owner of heavens and earth, what great things He gave us. Fill our hearts with love and longing for You, ya Rabbana. May we receive love and longing from Yaran Shah Mardan. May our hearts be filled with love for our Lord. That is what we want, O Yaran Shah Mardan.

Our Mawla, Al-Qadir Al-Muqtadir. Our Mawla whose order is between kaf and nun. His orders take place between the letters of kaf and nun. Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. Forgive us our Lord. Dress us with beauty, our Lord, so we can be beautiful. Say O My servant – Bismillahi r- Rahmani r-Rahim. So I can dress you with dresses of beauty. O My servants, I am the One who dresses you with beauty. He is Allah. He is Al-Qadir Al-Muqtadir. He is our Lord whose grants are without limit to the servants who love. Ask from Him. “Ghulibati r-Rum” (30:2) The disbelievers who represent kufr/disbelief will be defeated, they won’t last. That is the order of heavens. “Ghulibati r-Rum” (30:2) “Wa Hum Min Ba’di Ghalabihim Sayaghlibun” (30:3) The bastion of kufr will be defeated. They will be defeated. They consider themselves victorious, but their victory will not last. “Wa Hum Min Ba’di Ghalabihim Sayaghlibun” (3:31) They will think they are victorious. They will say “we are victorious”. But they are not. They are not.

The Mawla who controls heavens and earth, the Mawla who is Subhan, how can He be defeated? Never! O our Lord, our Subhan, our Sultan, accept us weak servants, O our Lord. “Ghulibati r-Rum” (30:2). The bastion of kufr will be defeated. Their victory cannot last, it will be destroyed. “Wa Hum Min Ba’di Ghalabihim Sayaghlibun” (30:3) O Allah, Owner of heavens and earth, give us strength, give us faith, give us love and longing, O Wealthy Sultan. That is what we want. We want to be among Your armies that are never defeated, MashaAllah. They cannot be defeated. “Wa Hum Min Ba’di Ghalabihim Sayaghlibun” (30:3) O Wealthy Sultan, we are weak. The One who reinforces and sends support to the helpless, weak servants is You, O our Lord. We wait for Your support. He gives everything, He does everything.

May our day be blessed, my son. A blessed day for those who stand at His door, who take His grants and love, who fill with faith. May our day be blessed. May our day be blessed for the sake of our Lord’s favors and generosity. May the Mercy of Allah Dhul Jalal come down from heavens. Don’t be afraid. Don’t fear. “Wa Hum Min Ba’di Ghalabihim Sayaghlibun” (30:3) They will seem victorious, but they are defeated. They will be defeated. The Absolute Victor is Allah Dhul Jalal. O our Lord, we are Your weak servants. Send us support, O our Lord. Heavens and earth belong to You. Give us strength, ya Rabbi. Give power to Your weak servants, ya Rabbi. Allahu Allah, Allahu Rabbi Allahu Allah ma li siwa Hu Hu, Hu. Jalla Jalaluhu, Jalla Jalaluhu, Jallat Azamatuhu. Be happy, be joyful. Victory is with us. Our Lord has granted us. Be happy, be joyful. Let’s be happy. Let’s always be happy. May our love and longing increase every day, my son. Fatiha.

There is no limit to our Lord’s grants. Run to Him, so He can give. He will give. Endless grants, endless favors are from Allah Almighty. Ask and take. He gives. There is no stinginess or misery. He has endless favors and generosity without measure. O our Lord, forgive us. May we be blessed by being servants of Allah Dhul Jalal. How great our Lord, our Lord whose grants and favors have no measure. May our hearts be filled with joy. Allahu Allah, Allahu Allah Allahu Allah, Allahu Allah ma li siwa Hu. There is no one other than Him. O our Lord, there is no end to Your beauty and grants.

May our hearts open, my son. May we be joyful. Let’s not remain as an ant. Open up. You are at the Lord’s door. Open up. Be happy, be joyful. He is our Lord, our Subhan, our Sultan. He won’t leave any distress in our hearts, my son, if you say one Basmala, if you say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim, heavens and earth will tremble. What does He want in return for His grants? Nothing. Ask, ask from your Lord. Your Lord’s grants are without measure. Fatiha.

May your day be blessed, O Yaran Shah Mardan. How beautiful they are, O Yaran Shah Mardan. How nice they are. Allah Almighty dressed them with beauty, with joy. He dressed them with honor. O our Lord, don’t leave us as rubbish, ya Rabbi. Grant us from your Magnificence and Power, even if one drop. You are Glorious. There is no end or measure to Your Glory.

‘Al-Wasilah’ ~ Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Qs)

Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshibandi, Sohbat of 8th of July, 1988.

…ta’wila al-wasila, an explanation of wasila – mediary. He said this, because he could not comprehend the wisdom of this holy verse, saying, We’ll look after you. A word then came from Allah Almighty: Nobody can reach to this station without a mediary Whoever wishes to regard Us, who wishes to behold Our beauty, he should adopt a mediary to achieve this station. We have made so-and-so to be the qutub as a means to this goal. Meaning, he holds the key, he is the wasila / mediary. We have designated him to help you reach to Us, to bring you to the station where you can behold Us. If you do not find him, you will wait there for all eternity, for that station will not open to you without a mediary.

Yes, the Prophet Musa fell down and rose again. Why did the Prophet Musa go in search of al-Khidr, ‘alayhi s-salam? Was it only for the sake of adornment – To increase his knowledge? What was his intention in seeking to increase his knowledge? He, who was master of a shari’a / law, a prophet of great rank and standing, what could he have hoped to gain from the Prophet Khidr? What was his real purpose in seeking him out? Would he have sought the Prophet Khidr without purpose? The intention of seeking such a person who has been granted ‘ilmu laduni, knowledge directly imparted by Allah, that is actually the truth that was planted in his heart at the time when Allah Almighty spoke to him and said: you will not be able to behold Me, and when he fell down and rose up again. You can never look at Us directly. Without there being a mediary and a means / wasila you cannot ever reach that station. Therefore the Prophet Musa set out so urgently to find the one being in that age who had been granted knowledge from that source, who was prepared to be the guide, the means to this station.

The knowledge of ‘ilmu laduni which he possessed did not accord with the outward shari’a that the Prophet Musa had been given. It agreed with its inner truth, but not with its outward aspect. For there is truth in the shari’a, and of course the ‘ilmu laduni cannot be separated from the truth of the shari’a. So when al-Khidr destroyed the boat, and Musa chided him for that, it was the outward shari’a of Musa that voiced objection. As for the Truth, the inner aspect of the shari’a, when the Prophet al-Khidr, explained why he had done this, the truth of the shari’a approved and said Yes, you are right.

However, in our outward aspect we cannot accept this. But according to our inner truth your action agrees with us; so the outer aspect of the shari’a confirmed the actions of the Prophet al-Khidr, it is all right, it said. For that reason he made him undergo a threefold trial. And he saw that the Prophet Musa was not able to surpass the outward knowledge he had been given. The Prophet al-Khidr offered him three bridges. Three bridges he offered him, so that he might pass into the region of Truth. If you can’t go on this, take that one; if this won’t do, go on that one.

Cross on all three, if you like. This was enough for Musa, ‘alayhi s-salam. That is why the Prophet al-Khidr finally said there is no need for me to remain with you. You will not admit any more crossings than these, so cross over at those three crossings that you have made.

So he [Musa] was given permission. It was for this wasila that the Prophet Musa sought him out. Together with his slave boy, or his friend or his servant…

‘Between Kaf and Nun’ ~ Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Qs)

Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim

Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshibandi, Sohbat of the 12th of November, 2013.

Between Kaf and Nun

O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, O Lion that you are. Marhaba, O beloved friends of Shah-i Mardan. May we receive strength every time we speak these words, Let us receive power from our Lord. May the beloved friends of Shah-i Mardan receive power every time. May they take power from our Lord. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. That is what we wish for. We ask for power from our Lord. Madad, dastur, O rijala-llah/O Men of God, O you saints! O choice servants of Allah, the Lord of Glory, His pure servants; O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, may we be given strength to serve You, may we be granted strength.

Let us say: O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. There are hidden forces, Shaykh Mehmet Efendi. Madad. There are hidden forces belonging to our Lord Almighty. Come to us, O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. Let us ask for those secret powers. There are hidden forces. The Lord of Might and Glory has secret powers. There are secret powers, we ask for those secret powers so that they might bring us closer to our Lord.

Come to us, O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. Let us receive strength, O King of the World, from those secret powers. Let us take power, O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, let us take power from those hidden forces. This is a sohbat. O our beloved friends, what we ask for is strength, we are not asking for trivial, third-rate things. Power with which to rule the whole wide world. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. May such power be transferred to us. We ask for strength. This is an important matter, the transmission of power, let us not be like cats, let us be as lions! Oh yes. Be a lion, don’t be a cat. O our Lord, our Subhān, our Sultān, what is befitting to Your service? Power that is pure. O our Lord, You have Existence and You are One.

O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. What we wish for is to be of service on your way. O our Lord! He appointed this service, so ask to perform it. Ask for strength to perform service, without strength nothing can be effected. Come, O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. How lovely is the way of our Lord, how sweet are the roads leading to our Lord. Let us be lions upon Your way, O our Lord! Let us be strong, let us be a lion. He is the Lord, we are but servants. We are weak servants. He is our Lord, may His Glory be exalted, may His Majesty be proclaimed, our Lord of unending Grandeur. Our Lord whose Strength and Power know no end. You are Subhān, O my Lord, let us be laden with the burden of tawhīd/Allah’s Unity. Let us take that load, and let us serve with that load in the Presence of the Lord Almighty.

O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, may our strength not run out, may our love not wane, may our burning desire never become deficient. Allah, our God, let us engage more and more in Your service, O our Lord. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. You give what He asks of you, and He gives you what you wish for. He is our Lord. Let us love our Lord, let us make Allah love us by our serving His creation. May Allāhu Dhū l-Jalāl make us love our servanthood. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. Allāhu Dhū l-Jalāl whose Greatness has no bounds, O our Lord, what we ask of the beloved friends is strength, we ask for strength. Let us not be wretched, don’t be a helpless wretch. Be as a lion, O my friends, be as lions! Your Lord is He whose Glory is exalted. March like a lion in the service of your Lord.

It is Allah who gives us everything. There is nothing He does not have to give. There is nothing He does not have. Ask in the Divine Presence of Allah Almighty. He is the Lord of Honour and Glory, there is nothing that he does not own. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. Make us to be as lions by the gate of the Sultan. O my Lord, let us be as lions. We are but weak servants. He is our Lord, the Possessor and Bestower of Power. He is Subhān, He is Sultān. We are weak, hapless servants. What is it that we ask for, what? O Shah-i Mardan, ask of our Lord, according to your own condition. Allāhu Allāh, Allāhu Allāh, Allāhu Allāh, mā lī siwāhū, Allah, our God.

May our hearts expand, may they open wide. O beloved friends, ask of Allah Almighty. May our hearts open up, may they find refreshment in Your Holy Presence, O my Lord. We are striving to perform servanthood, O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. When he says: Allāh, Allāh, heaven and earth tremble. When he pronounces the Name of Allah, heaven and earth begin to tremble. Come to us, O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. What I ask for comes from the One and Only, He who has Existence, He who is the Only One, who is the Lord of heaven and earth. It is from Allah that I am asking. O heedless one, ask of your Lord, for He is the Lord of Might and Glory. There is no end to His majestic Glory and Grandeur. From His inexhaustible treasures, I am asking for servanthood.

Let us be servants to Allah. What are you to ask for? You are to ask of your Lord: O rich and generous Padishah, please accept us to be Your servants. O Lord, do not cast us aside. O my Lord, do not throw us out. You have unending stores of treasure; from Your endless treasure houses, grant us the honour of servanthood, O Lord. Let us know that we are servants. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. Let us be lions; be lions in the Divine Presence of our Lord. Let us be lions. Let us ask of Allah Almighty. Let us be lions in His service, let us not be like miserable cats. For He is Allah, may His Glory be exalted. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, Let us be among Your pure servants who have been cured with immortality, O our Lord. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. How lovely it is to serve You, O my Lord. How good it is to be a servant to our Lord. To ask of Him, to be with Him, how lovely, how lovely, how very lovely.

O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, come to us. Enter into servanthood. Enter into servanthood, come, O beloved friends. Ask for the favours of Shah-i Mardan. Let Him robe you in beauty. Let Him clothe you in grace and delicacy. Let your Lord robe you in nobility. Our Lord, our Lord Allah. May our Lord Almighty Allah robe you in grace and charm, so that you may be lovely and pleasing. And give to us tireless strength, O my Lord. For the sake of Your service we ask for that. We ask it of our Lord. We ask for unwearying, satisfying, untiring strength. We ask our Lord for honour. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, let us not become weary or exhausted, let us not grow fed up and bored. This is the path of Truth, you have been created for that. Ask for this, ask your Lord for this. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, let this be our desire.

May our Lord fill us with His love, may He fill us with burning love for Him. May our Lord burden us with faith. Faith. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. Let us not grow weary. He who tires, his business is over. Don’t grow tired. Don’t weary in Allah’s way, be refreshed. Find relief. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. We are sitting here with our brothers who are believers. That is what we wish for. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, may our hearts expand and open wide. May they have joy, and may they find relief. Let us fill with love and ardour, saying Allah. One who is filled with love and ardour can do anything. O Allah You who created heavens and earth, it is Allah who does what He wants. We ask of You, what we ask for is servanthood. We ask for the honour of servanthood, O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan.

Let us not grow weary. Do not tire on the way of Truth. Say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. You will not grow tired, you will not tire. Say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. How lovely, how very lovely to say: Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim, how lovely that is. Let us not grow tired. Let us not grow tired in the Presence of our Lord. May our ardent love increase, let us not grow tired. For He is our Lord, and we are His servants. We are weak servants. How lovely it is to be seeking Divine Light, how lovely, how sweet. O our Lord. Ask for the good things. Ask for love and fervour, O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. Such a number of prophets have come and gone. All of them are Lovers of the Sacred and Divine. All of them are full and loaded with love and fervour.

May Allah Almighty load faith upon us, may He load us with the honour of faith. Let us be like lions in His Presence. In His Presence, don’t be like a wretched cat. Be like a lion. Destroy Shaytan, destroy his works, O Shah-i Mardan. How lovely it is to sit with you and engage in conversation. Let us be refreshed. May we too be burdened with faith. May love and fervour be laden upon us. That we ask for, O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. It is Allah who has Power over all things. It is our Lord who has Power to do all things, may His Glory be exalted. Come, O beloved friends, ask of your Lord, ask fervent love of your Lord. Ask for it. May He grant you love and ardour, may He give you love and affection. Before Your Beauty, O Lord, the whole universe bows in prostration, O Lord. Let us always prostrate in Your Holy Presence, O our Lord. O Shah-i Mardan, please teach us.

May love and ardour, may love and ardour be dressed upon us. Let us put on the robes of love and ardour. O beloved friends, it is this that we want, we truly want. May you find refreshment. May you find refreshment in the Presence of your Lord. May your eyes and your heart open up wide. This is a short sohbat. Take from this short sohbat the jewels contained in it. Ask of your Lord those precious jewels that astounded and confounded even the prophets. O Lord, You are Subhān, You are Sultān. Let us not be as miserable cats, let us be instead as roaring lions. Come to us, O our Lord. Roaring lions are befitting to Your Divine Presence. Be like a lion! Don’t be like a wretched pussy cat, be like a lion. Ask for this, ask of the Lord, my son. He gives so many, many things. Allah Allah.

O our Lord, fill us up with love. Fill us up with ardent desire. Dress upon us that Divine Grace of which we can never get enough, O Lord. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, Whoever begins in the Name of Allah, Allah will make all things easy for him. Remember the Name of Allah, and He will make everything easy for you. May He open for you the gates to all things. Whoever speaks not the Name of Allah is rubbish. Search. Search for love and longing. Ask for love and longing of your Lord. This whole world has no value. Grant us a sword, O Lord, with a sharp cutting edge. We ask for a sword that will cut and destroy our lower self and its base desires. He who is Your servant, is standing in Your Presence every moment; we are servants. Heavens and earth belong to Him. He has no need of heaven and earth. No. It is the servant who is in need. That is what servanthood is.

O Lord, do not withhold from us the crown of servanthood. Ask, so that you might receive the crown of servanthood. It is the highest rank, for men and for women. Let us begin in the Name of Allah, this is imperative for every servant. Draw the sword, draw the sword of being a servant of Allah; O our Lord, no one can stand in the face of Your Might, Your Grandeur. There is no good that You will not give, You can give anything. Give to us, too, O Lord. Let us have beauty and goodness. Ask of our Lord beauty and goodness. Ask Him for honour. Ask Him for the robe of distinction which He dresses upon His servants. Allah who created heaven and earth. Allah who gives to whom He wills what He wills. O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan, ask for the crown of servanthood to be set upon your head. That is the aim, that is the intention. That our Lord might dress upon us the crown of servanthood. How lovely that is, how very lovely, to put on the crown of servanthood.

O our Lord, You are Subhān, You are Sultān. You have Power over all things. What we ask for is Your Approval, O our Lord. O our Lord, in Your Divine Presence there is none who is weak. In Your Divine Presence there are only the strong, the powerful. Ask for strength, give to us, O my Lord. Give us strength, so that we might be as lions. Let us be as lions on Your way. O our Lord, our Subhān, our Sultān, it is You who have created heaven and earth. It is You who have created the sun of daylight. Know this, learn about it. Know. There are many stories, Shaykh Mehmet Efendi, there are many stories. At the beginning of a story you must say: Bismillahi r- Rahmani r-Rahim. At the beginning of this tale we spoke these words, O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. There are many pleasing words. There are many words that give us power, that give us nobility. They are countless. Wherever you may look, take from there grace, beauty, honour.

He is our Lord, our Subhān, ask Him for honour, ask for honour. O our Lord, it is You who grants honour. It is You who grants power and might. It is You who grants to us as You will, so that nothing old remains with us. Everything we have, let it be new and fresh let everything we have be new. Everything we undertake is fresh and new. What we ask of our Lord is new; fresh faith fresh favour, a brand-new, honourable gown of faith. Ask for this at all times, may He dress you in a new one. The seven heavens watch for His Favour. The seven heavens wait for His Favour. Let us ask for it, let us ask for it. Allah loves those who ask, He doesn’t love those who do not ask. O beloved friends, O Shah-i Mardan, Make your wish known. Allah Almighty approves of the one who asks. Allah does not want those who ask for nothing, ask! Ask, He will give you so many things, so many things.

O our Lord, we are but weak servants. According to the state of our weakness, we wait for Your gifts, for Your Divine Favours, O Lord. Do not leave us in our weakness, O Lord. May we be strong, may we have power. May we be strong and pure in Your Divine Presence. O our Lord, our Subhān, our Sultān. Do not make us weak. May our strength increase, O Lovers of Shah-i Mardan. al-Fātiha. May your heart be filled with love, Shaykh Mehmet Efendi. Have no fear, have no fear. He is our Lord, we shall love Him. He is in our hearts, we shall keep Him in our hearts. Love and respect for Him shall find its place in our hearts.

Marhaba, O believers, O you servants of Allah, who is Latif/fine and subtle, you also be subtle. Be a Sultān. Don’t be of the contemptible of this earth. Clear up. Allah is the Possessor and Bestower of Power. It is Allah who gives what He wills to whom He wills. Amruhu bayna l-kāf wa n-nūn. His command is between [the letters] kāf and nūn. Come to us, O Shah-i Mardan, may our hearts weep from intense love and longing. Whatever our Lord may wish or desire, whatever He wills. O our Lord, O our Lord, our Subhān, our Sultān.

‘What Is With Allah Is Better (42:36)’ ~ Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Qs)

Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim

Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Al-Haqqani An-Naqshibandi, Sohbat of the 9th of November, 2013.

May our hearts open up. Go ahead O Yaran/lovers of Shah Mardan. Your Yaran are looking for you, they are waiting for you. Salam/peace be upon you. Salam/greeting of peace to all the Yaran who are attending. Muharram-ul Haram has come. May it be blessed.

May our strength increase. Let’s go forward with the power of Ummuhan Sultan. She is a Sultan. She will support us. Ummu Haram. Ummuhan Sultan. She is a Sultan. 1,500 years, for all these years, she stayed in her place. What a beautiful place it is. Our Ummuhan Sultan, she is coming to our aid. She is the Sultan of this country. Go ahead O Shah Mardan, the field is yours (to speak). Our hope is with the Sultan. Our Lord, our Subhan, our Sultan has tied everything to the blessed Sultan. Everything is tied to Ummuhan Sultan.

Marhaba O Yaran Shah Mardan Marhaba/greeting of welcome. May our strength increase. And so, start and say – Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar-ul Akbar. You are Subhan Ya Rabbi. You are Sultan Ya Rabbi. The Sultan does not deprive us. O Yaran Shah Mardan, his beloved friends. Don’t lose hope, ask for it. This is an assembly for associations. That is what Hz. Sheikh Effendi used to say. If 2 people, 2 believers sit together and chat a little, treasures come down from heavens. The treasures of heavens never finish.

Then let’s say – Subhan Allah al hamdu lillah wa la ilaha ila Allah. He is Subhan. O our Lord, our Sultan, give us strength. We want strength. We don’t want to be weak. No, we want to be mighty. We want to keep our Lord’s orders. Let’s ask. O Yaran Shah Mardan. O beloved friends of Shah Mardan. We must ask. He is the Lord. La Rabbun siwahu. There is no Lord other than Him. To whom, to whom should we run to? We will run to Shah Mardan. Allah Almighty has granted him power. Let’s open up, let’s ask from our Lord. Allah Allah.

“Inna ardi wasi’atun fa’iyyaya fa’budun” (29:56) How nice. It says that the earth is spacious. Wide. Go ahead O Shah Mardan. Speak about its wideness. Inna ardi wasi’atun. O our Lord, don’t make the earth to be narrow for us. No. Inna ardi wasi’atun. This earth that we are running on is wide. You are Subhan ya Rabbi. May our hearts be wide. Ask. May your heart be wide and content. Be happy, don’t be depressed. It is now the blessed month of Muharram. MashaAllah. Each month has its own speciality, my son Sheikh Mehmed. The Mawla who makes the day and the moon rise. ‘adheemu sha’n. Inna ardi wasi’atun. It is wide, I am saying. The earth is very spacious. Ask. Wasi’atun. Ask. Ask from your Lord.

Look, it is Muharram ash-Sharif. It is an honorable month. It is said – ask during this honorable month. Ask. O Yaran Shah Mardan. Ask, so your hearts will open up. Your Lord will give. Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. Allah. What magnificence. We cannot withstand the magnificent addressing. Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. O our Lord, O our Lord. May Allah not make us from those running after dunya. Sheikh Mehmed Effendi, my son. Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. Why run after dunya? O Yaran Shah Mardan. Running after dunya/this world is not befitting of you. The Almighty Lord of Glory gave you glory. Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. May our hearts open, let’s ask.

The disciples of Prophet Isa/Jesus asked for a dinner table. The disciples of Prophet Isa asked for a dinner table. The table is in front of you. What kind of table do you want? Yunus (Emre) said – You are what I need, only You. I want you O my Lord. I don’t want a dinner table. Say – O Owner of heavens and earth, Allah. Say “Allah” and get power. Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. Don’t search for a table. What you should seek – fa’iyyaya fa’budun. A magnificent addressing. Yes, it is a magnificent addressing. Inna ardi wasi’atun. (29:56) “This earth is spacious.” Fa’iyyaya fa’budun.(29:56) “Perform servanthood to Me”, O man. O ignorant ones, understand the addressing. Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. Allahu Akbar. You are Subhan ya Rabb. There is no one who isn’t crushed, melted, and lost in front of Your addressing. May our hearts widen.

It is the honorable order. Amri Sharif, an honorable order. There can be nothing above it. Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. Perform servanthood to Me. O Yaran Shah Mardan, how nice. How nice is servathood for our Lord. Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. (29:56) Only perform servathood for Me. Aman ya Rabbi. Aman ya Rabbi. Give us strength. May we perform servanthood to You ya Rabbana. Salamun Qawlan Min Rabbin Rahim. (36:58) Allah Almighty is giving Salam. He is giving Salam. What does that mean? Is there anyone who understands, where? Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. Aman ya Rabbi. There is no one who understands. Shah ar-Rasul. (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) The Sultan of Prophets understands. You should understand what is said. Allah Almighty is explaining – Fa’iyyaya fa’budun – Perform servanthood for Me only. I don’t want anything else from you. Just perform servanthood for Me. That is your duty. Don’t waste time with useless things.

O people, O people, be human. Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. Allah says: perform servanthood for Me, don’t bother with anything else. What value does dunya have? Its value is zero. The great Prophet Isa’s disciples. The ones standing by the great Prophet, Sheikh Mehmed Effendi. They asked for a table. They wanted a dinner table to come down. You can already find plenty of tables on earth. You didn’t know what to ask for. Allah Almighty is saying – is there anyone who understands? Only one understands – the Prince of the Universe. The universe has a master, it has a master. Run after him. He will teach you. He teaches you the lessons. Did you learn your lesson? You didn’t. You failed. You failed. You were supposed to learn your lesson. You were supposed to know. Rasul-u Kibriya, Allah Jalla wa A’la. Aman ya Rabbi. You must recognize. You must know – who is He, who He is. Who is Allah Dhul Jalal? He is the Creator. Who created him? You must know. You must learn your lesson. To whom do heavens and earth belong? To Him. You must know. If you don’t know, you will fail. You will fail the lesson.

Go ahead O Shah Mardan. How nice is Shah Mardan, how beautiful. The treasures that open for them, there are treasures of honor for them. Ask for honor. Rabbu s-samawati wal ardin. Don’t ask the Lord of heavens and earth for dunya. Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. Perform servanthood. How beautiful, how nice. Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. Perform servanthood for Me. To me, servanthood for Me. I am the Sultan of Sultans. Those asking for a dinner table from heavens, the table they are seeking is in the hand of the Seal of Prophets (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam). Ask from him. Ask from him. You can take from him. You can’t find it anywhere else. Fa’iyyaya fa’budun. You will find that table. The table you are seeking – a table with a spiritual power source, high ranks and honor. That table is being sent down, you will find it there. The table you seek doesn’t have potatoes or tomatoes. Potatoes, tomatoes, what value do they have? What does it have? Everything is with My beloved.(sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) What I love is with My Habib (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam). What you are seeking…

O our Lord, You are One and Only. You have the Ability and Power to do everything, ya Rabbana. Be from those who understand the Habib(sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) and understand that rose, because Allah Almighty made him His Habib/Beloved one. He loved him and told us to love him. Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar. They loved him. The trees bloomed, O Yaran. The trees gave fruit. Roses burst open. They gave fruits for us. Look, look at that rose garden. Love and be loved. O our Lord, give us strength to understand, O Allah Almighty. If you want beauty, it is with him. His Lord loved him. O Yaran. O Yaran, beloved friends of Shah Mardan. Ask for him. Ask for his rose gardens, so you can enter those gardens. Ask so that an addressing can come you – “Salamun Qawlan min Rabbin Rahim” (36:58) Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar-ul Akbar. The rose garden is with him. It is with the Habib (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam). Ask. Ask. The rose garden is with him. Beauty is with him.

Shame on those who don’t know this. Shame on those foolish ones who are fighting. Shame. O Allah, Owner of heavens and earth, Your order is between Kaf and Nun. Your holy orders happen as soon as You say “Be” (KuN) You just say “Be” and it will Be. Allahu Akbar. Give us strength so we can open up, ya Rabbi. To say “Ya Rabbana” is not something we can do. That addressing is for the Holy Prophet. (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) O My Habib, ask Me whatever you want. I put the Ka’aba there, I put My house there. Whatever wishes you have, you can ask there. And I will give you everything. May roses bloom for you. May the trees give fruits. May the trees wake up and give fruit. Don’t be a piece of wood. Be a Yaran/lover. Why be a log? What value does dry wood have? Wood will end up in the fire. Don’t burn in fire. You should look at the lights of Allah’s Beloved One. (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) Ask for that light.

O Yaran Shah Mardan. Dress us with whatever strength we have ya Rabbi. Dress us with Your Beauty ya Rabbi. Dress us with Your lights, ya Rabbi. Allah Allah. How nice. How nicely man was created. Paradise was created for man. But you are running after rubbish. What are you doing running after rubbish? What are you searching for? Rubbish, filth. What do you want from that? You might find a few small stones here and there. But what value does it have? O our lord, our Subhan, You taught Your Habib. ‘Allama l-Insana Ma lam Ya’lam (96:5) “Allah Almighty taught man what he knew not.” Know this. Who makes the sun to rise? Learn this. Who makes the moon to come out? Learn this. Who makes man to run around? O Our Lord, You sent us the Sultan to teach us all of this. Know and recognize the Sultan. Those who are with the Sultan earn their rank. And they will receive the addressing – Salamun Qawlan min Rabbin Rahim. Salamun Qawlan min Rabbin Rahim. (36:58) Allahu Akbar.

The trees, roses, and rose gardens were all created for the sake of the holy Beloved Habib(sallAllahu alayhi wasallam). Try to understand the secret of creation. Know your power. Know the honor of mankind. All beauty is with Allah Almighty. All perfection is with Allah Almighty. All power has been granted and opened for mankind. O Allah, don’t make us from the deprived ones. Let’s open up. O Shah Mardan, your Yaran admire you greatly. Of course they will admire him. You must admire him. If you don’t, you will be an animal. No, man did not come to this world to be an animal. They came to be human. Who is a human? What is their honor? You must know and say. You are our Lord. We are Your servants ya Rabbi. Heavens and earth belong to Him.

Our weak bodies and weak minds cannot comprehend it. We cannot comprehend. That is why Allah Almighty – I created Adam. I created Adam. And I created him above everything else. O our Lord. You should know. I created you as man so you can know and teach others. Don’t leave your humanity. Protect your humanity. Qul Rabbi Allah. “Say – my Lord is Allah.” Say – I want You, ya Rabbi. I want only You, ya Rabbi. And what doors will open for you! You are Subhan ya Rabb. You are Sultan ya Rabb. Hay hay. Ask what you want from Allah. May your heart burn with the love of the Beloved. O Yaran Shah Mardan. MashaAllahu kan wa ma lam yasha’ lam yakun. O our Lord, give us understanding. Give us understanding. That understanding was given as a drop to the Master of Creation. He says – take from that drop. He will give you as much as you desire. He won’t give you what you don’t desire. Take whatever you want.

Now we are in the month of Muharram-ul Haram. His grants and favors are overflowing like an ocean in this holy month. Ask, and may your hearts open. May you receive power. May the spiritual horizons open. Know the Sultan of the worlds. Say – Salamun Qawlan min Rabbin Rahim. Salamun Qawlan min Rabbin Rahim. (36:58) Let’s ask for that. Let’s ask for Salam from our Lord. May Allah grant us a good end. May Allah protect us from a bad ending. May our end be a good one. O our Lord, O our Lord, open the doors for us, ya Rabbi. There are no limits to the doors of Your treasures. We are helpless, weak servants. Qawwi dha’fana fi ridak. Don’t send us away from the door of Your Pleasure, ya Rabbi. Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar wa lillahi l-hamd. Fatiha.

May the lights of heavens and earth come down upon you. May the blessings of Muharram come on us. May the power of Islam come to us, even if one little drop. May the love of Islam and the love of Habibullah (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) come to us, even if one little drop. We would be so different. Fatiha.

It is the month of Muharram. The blessings of the month of Muharram have no bounds or limits. May Allah give you Divine Grants with the secret of this month. Fatiha. Shukr/thanks to our Mawla. We will slowly, gradually open up. This is nothing. There is more to come. Oh, there is much more to come. The pleasure of dunya is not something to desire. It is worthless. Wa ma ‘inda Llahi khayrun. (3:198)(What is with Allah is better.) Let us be in the Presence of our Lord. O our Lord, may our hearts open, may our hearts open.

‘Taming The Wild’ ~ Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Qs)

Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim

Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al Haqqani al Qubrusi (Qs), A Classic Sohbat from May 27, 2005.

This is an association. An association that is on the way of Prophet, peace be upon him, and the ways of all Prophets. They were teaching common people. Common people are like wild trees and we are in need to change our quality from wildness to reach good manners. So many trees on mountains, we have here olive trees, carob trees, that is the nature of this island. Keeping – those olive trees and carob trees, without anyone planting. From Allah Almighty, He is making a special condition for this island, to grow in it olive trees and carob trees. But when they are growing up they are not in such a good condition for eating and our people are making graft, grafting, and getting small olives, bigger dry olives, becoming full with oil and getting much more tasteful. And you are making ‘graft’. If leaving, it is small and bitter.

And mankind, generally, they are growing as a wild tree and they need to change their qualities from wildness to a good position. Therefore Allah Almighty sending First Man, Adam alaihi salam, peace be upon him, and his wife Hawwa/Eve, alaihimu s-salam. Landing them on this dunya, on earth, and they are bringing their generations. Allah Almighty ordering to Adam peace be upon him, to teach his generation. To change his children to bring them in a good position, to be good servants. Because we have been created for divine service. We are not created for dunya, no. Allah created Man and created Earth and everything on it. Just created for you everything, for the benefit of mankind. But what about mankind?

If you are asking now, people, the majority of them should say, “I don’t know.” Why you are not knowing? Why you are not asking? You know that everything on Earth for you. Trees, animals, seas, oceans, birds, fishes, everything. It is for you. If not for you, for whom created? No one saying, “I know it”. Yes, they are not knowing but they can learn! They can ask: for what we have been created? If you are saying, “We don’t know, only we are working and we are planting, and we are making so many things for ourselves. We are asking through this life, which is a short life, to reach much more pleasure, a much more tasteful life. We like to eat and drink for enjoying ourselves. It is our knowledge, we are saying this, that we are only living for eating and drinking and for sexual purposes.” I am saying, ok we know this but if you are not thinking that beyond this there is any mission, your level going to be like animals.

Animals also are thinking nothing, only, they are looking at what they are eating, what they are drinking and for their generation. What is the difference between you and animals? If I am saying to you, “O Donkey,” you are not going to be happy. If I am saying to you, “O Fox,” I don’t think that you are going to be happy. If I’m saying to you, “O Ox,” I don’t think you are going to be happy. But you are making your level on their level but when I am accusing you and saying, “O Dog,” “O Fox,” why you are getting angry? You are saying, “O, I am honourable one, I am not a fox, or dog, or a donkey”. But what you are doing is same as what animals are doing. You are not going beyond eating and drinking and sexual pleasure. Beyond this, you are not thinking. How are you getting angry if I am saying, “O Dog, O Ox, O Fox, O Wolf.” Why you are getting angry?

Who is refusing this, really our souls, because you are not created only for eating and drinking and for sexual purposes. No! But, we have been created for something else. What we are running after is only for our physical being, for our material, we are running 24 hours. We are running to reach much more money, to make your life much more tasteful. You are thinking only of your physical being. Nothing else! You are not asking to move heavens. And your soul asking to reach heavens. But whole life we are doing something, what animals are doing. And finally, of what we are taking care, our physical beings, what is going to become of it?

It is going to be in a coffin. And closed, and putting nails on it. “Oh!” I’m asking, “Oh, my Lord’s servant, why are you imprisoned through this coffin?” He says, “I’m not imprisoning myself but my people imprisoning me through this coffin.” Yeah? What more do you want? “I was (niyyah/intending) I was thinking or I was asking to continue up to eternity, to taste, to make my physical being happy and its pleasure as you are looking something happened to me and I am in a coffin. Yesterday or last year I was walking, now my legs can’t carry me. One year ago I was catching but now my hands never catching anything. One year ago I was looking but now my eyes never looking and seeing.”

What happened to you? You wasted all your life for that physical being, your material and now you are imprisoned. Yet, now you are in coffin, now they are taking you to cemetery yard. They are making for you a private hole. Now they are carrying you to that hole. Either taking you out of your coffin or through your coffin they should bury you. Now, nothing with you now, you are outside, but, it should be such pleasure for you where you are – family, children and your people bring you and putting in it and putting on you earth and making it firm, not to come out.

If you are asking to come perhaps, you may imagine, what do you think, O my Lord’s servant, if when they are burying you through your grave and if you are getting out at nighttime, midnight, with your wife’s clothes and coming and making door? Knocking door and they are saying, “Who is there? Who is there?” “I am here.” “Who are you?” “Your father.” “Our father? Today you were buried.” “No I am just coming once again to life.” I think they should go also, their heart stopping, falling down, if they are looking that dead father coming down and saying, “Open your (…) open your door.” “Aah, aah, you, go away.” When they are burying you, they never accepting to come to them once again. Perhaps bringing a rifle, saying “We must shoot him. Perhaps he is not dying but making us to die, before making us die, we must shoot him once again to give guarantee that he died. Bring that rifle! Who is that one?” “I’m your father.” (…).

They are taking him to, once again. Not taking, they are running away from house, saying, “We must go away, we must look in another city because he left his hole, may come next night also to us, what will we do?” Your beloved ones, after burying, if they are coming to you, no one accepting. O People, eeyy, we are wasting our lives for that physical, for that skeleton. First night may come with their wife’s clothes but after one year if coming in his skeleton how we shall (…) Whole city could maybe run away. Run away, if skeleton coming. Going after them, running, whole city running away. No one waiting to shoot him. “Ooo shoot.” 100 shots. Never getting back. “Ohh, fire.” Taking you out of your city.

This is our body’s final point. To be a skeleton. Then after a while your skeleton also going to be dust. Why not thinking beyond this, O People? Why you are wasting your whole life for that skeleton? Blame to mankind now, they are living through 21st Century and they are not thinking about such things. O People, don’t waste your life, don’t lose your opportunity that you may reach through this life the high life of heavens. Why you are not taking care for your souls? This is a humble place. Humble place and a handful people coming here but all mankind on Earth, they’re never taking any care or any interest for such meetings, to understand something about themselves.

All of them escaping as they escaped from prophets. Escaping from saints, escaping from awliya. And now, billions of people under earth, they are in punishment, they are in difficult positions. They are asking to come once again to do what Allah Almighty ordered them but they lost their chance. No more opportunity. Therefore we are doing here only half-an-hour, half-an-hour or one hour, weekly, to speak to people to make them to awaken. Wake up. To wake up and look out for your soul. Your souls asking something but you are imprisoning your souls and making your physical being free for tasting everything from material life. And no chance for a person to reach more than 80, 90 or 100 years. They must come down, they must die, their soul must leave them and they are going up.

May Allah forgive me and send us someone who may lead or who may guide us to Allah, our Creator and His divine invitation and to give much more time for divine service, which is most honoured service for mankind. You can’t find any job or any work or any business giving you much more honour, more than working for Allah. Who is working for Allah, Allah giving him high honour. Who is leaving Allah and His divine service and working for this dirty life their honour taken away. Look their faces now. Common peoples faces, no lights, finish. Only youngsters, for youth, appearances for a very short time you may see them that their faces open and bright. But after a short while you should find their faces coming down and darkness coming on them and going to be an ugly, very ugly appearance on them.

They are saying, Prophet’s knowledge that if a person doing night prayers while people sleeping, daytime their faces lighting up and familiar, and beautiful, and handsome. If you sleeping, daytime they never granted a lightness through their faces and their physical being getting weaker, weaker and going to (…) day by day, coming down, coming down, and darkness coming on them, and ugliness coming on them also.

Therefore you are looking now that Europeans, they prepared for old people, houses, old people centres. That people sending their mums and dads to that place. They never able to carry their ugliness and the darkness on their faces. “Therefore we are saying, we can’t carry such ugly people with us. We must send them to another place and people may look after them.” But before, people were keeping their old mums and dads because they have been dressed through night, a face, making light their faces and familiarity coming on them. And we were keeping our old mums and grandmothers, grandfathers because they are so attractive, there was attraction in them and we never sending them to old people’s centres. No we are with them, looking to them and we are so happy. Now people looking at their mums, “Oh, so ugly, so dirty. Take them away there for them to be looked after.”

Therefore O People, give much more time for your Lord’s service. Don’t forget your servanthood. All crises follow because people forget their servanthood. And they are working for shaytan and shaytan’s groups. And they are dressing them in darkness and troubles. Those who are working for Allah, dressing them honour dressing and giving them handsome and beautiful, bright faces. And familiarity – if they don’t see them they aren’t able to be patient, they are asking, “Where are our mums, grandmums, grandfathers?” Keep your Lord’s servanthood. If you like to be happy here and hereafter. If not you should be punished.

No taste for their lives, here and hereafter. May Allah send us from His good servants to change our life, what is from shaytanic ways to divine service. Then He is going to be happy with us, if Lord not going to be happy with us, taking away our happiness with Him and with everything. For the honour of the most honoured one in His Divine Presence, Sayyidina Muhammad, sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam.
